Perla + Lauren modeled for our Romantic Halloween Wedding set-up at Hillcrest Farms in Reedley, California. This location was the perfect spooky backdrop for this styled shoot. It provided the perfect lighting backdrop to give that beautiful ethereal look.

Hillcrest Farms in Reedley typically doesn’t host events, but after having out styled shoot there, I think that they definitely should! I can imagine a beautiful set up in their meadow filled with market lights, surrounded by towering trees and a little bit off the beaten path so you’re not disturbing anyone around you. The first time I went to Hillcrest Farms it was for their pumpkin patch and corn maze which is just to the side of this table design Imagine having your Halloween Wedding on their meadow and just off to the side is hundreds of pumpkins and a corn maze for your guests to enjoy.

One of my favorite times to take portraits during wedding days is during golden hour. It’s the hour before the sun sets and it provides the best light. Everyone looks dreamy and straight out of a magazine. No matter the time of day of your wedding, I always try to make time with my couples to take sunset portraits. All the photos duing this halloween wedding styled shoot were taken during golden hour, so you can really see the beauty of the moment.

Perla + Lauren got married a year before this but I overheard them saying that if they renewed their vows, they would love to have something similar for their vow renewal. Lauren is obsessed with crystals and they were the perfect complement to this setup. Not only did we use crystals as decor, I also used them to play some photography tricks. As you scroll through the blog, you will see some images with a diffused glow of light. Those images I was holding a small crystal off to the side to enhance the magical feel to it.
