When I first met with Amanda + Stephen they instantly gave me chill vibes kind of couple. I knew their engagement session would be more low-key and catered to their typical weekend together. We discussed various options, including my top 5 favorite Fresno locations for your engagement (check out my other blog post). Nothing was quite clicking with them until we chatted about downtown Fresno and capturing part of their session at Goldsteins Fresno. It was absolute perfection!
We started downtown Fresno near some of my favorite historic buildings. Due to it being winter, our session was much earlier than usual which means there were still so many people in downtown Fresno. For some of these shots, we had to wait FOREVER until traffic cleared up. I’ll take all the honking as congratulatory honks.
Near my favorite buildings, there are some alleys with graffiti that I love to incorporate into my couple’s sessions who are up for it.
Our next stop was the rooftop of a nearby building. There are a few rooftops that I love downtown, but this one is quickly becoming my favorite due to the variety of different angles and the open space at the very top of the parking garage.
We pre-gamed a little bit before hitting up Goldsteins Fresno with a champagne pop! I always try to bring a bottle of champagne to my engagement sessions to get some of those amazing champagne spray photos. I think it’s such a fun photo to have and even more fun when we can recreate it on your wedding day. This was actually Stephens’s first time popping champagne and I think he did great!!
From our parking garage, we ended the night at Goldsteins Fresno for one last drink and a dance to end our night. Goldstein’s Fresno is one of my favorite little bars in the Tower district. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting and better yet they allow dogs! There is always interesting artwork and creative design within Goldsteins Fresno. I think my favorite spot is the shopping cart chairs that are available for seating, the large flying horse hanging from the ceiling, and the giant octopus mural.
We snuck out to the back patio for some quick photos and because it was winter and freezing, we got the whole space to ourselves. It was a night filled with laughter and so much love. Can’t wait for your wedding Amanda + Stephen!
Let’s book your engagement session where you two had your first date, where you two first said I love you or even at your home for a little at home date idea. Check out this couples session for an at home brunch session.
