When my friend Tiffany from Easyylivin (Check out her website here!) messaged me and told me about her plans for a styled shoot at Hillcrest Farms in Reedley, California, I knew I had to go! You see, my wife is from the Central Valley area and one of the first family events I joined in on was going to the Pumpkin Patch with all her nieces and nephew. I loved the area immediately, it was so quaint and there was so much joy in one little area. Tiffany reached out to me with the want to have a queer wedding styled shoot at Hillcrest Farms, I knew I had to join in! Perla + Lauren were the best models for this shoot. They just got married the last year and they are still crazy in love – it is undeniable in their portraits! The sweetheart table was so beautiful + styled by the amazing company Stockroom Picks. After munchin’ on some deliciousness from the grazing board from Tiffany @easyylivin we got a little spookier and transitioned into some awesome night portraits. You’ll never believe it, but this was my first time using smoke bombs! They were a lot of fun, but I could barely breathe like a few minutes into setting it off. In a few weeks, I will be attending a photography conference in Arizona. I believe I will have the opportunity to use some smoke bombs in the daylight, rather than at night and I can’t wait to see how those turn out.
This intimate farm wedding was so perfect for an elegant October wedding with a hint of spooky vibes. How do you feel about including some Halloween hints on your wedding day? I love the accents of pumpkins, darker red lip color and maybe a skeleton hand or two.
