SIGNAL HILL – THE GRAND WEDDING
Dario + Victor committed their love in front of their friends + family on December 14th of last year.
I met Dario 10 years ago when we both were a part of the same local LGBTQ+ youth center. Dario is one of the sweetest, down-to-earth and considerate people I have ever met. I was only 19 when we met and I remember learning all about Dario’s life up until we met. I was fascinated with him being born in Colombia and that his dad worked for the United Nations. We spent that whole Summer hanging out at the beach or at the pool soakin’ up the sun. When we first met, I had no idea that I was going to create a photography business, let alone photograph his wedding 10 years later!
Throughout the years we have stayed in touch as we both have moved around different areas of California. We reconnected back at one of our favorite local coffee shops in Long Beach at Hot Java. This is where I first was introduced to the love of Dario’s life, Victor. I loved that we reconnected at a coffee shop that means a lot to my wife and I (it’s where we met) and it is meaningful to Dario + Victor. Check out their engagement shoot, where we adventured all over Long Beach and Signal Hill.
When I went down to Long Beach to take their engagement pictures. They dropped a B O M B S H E L L and announced that they had already gotten married the year before! This wedding was a recommitment of their love in front of their friends and family from all over the world. I am so happy and truly honored to have been chosen to capture their special day.
Have I mentioned lately how much I love first looks?
They give you the chance to connect with your partner before the ceremony and take moment with one another.
THANKS FOR ALL THE FUN TIMES!
So fun and beautiful! I love all of the rich colors they used. And how lucky to be able to have an old friend capture their special day!
Thank you! It was an honor to be a part of their day!
I love this! Mariachi is always a must have! And their cake looks awesome
So beautiful Michelle! I think you really captured their love for each other in these images, so sweet.
I love that they had a Mariachi band. Great photos.
