Bass Lake, CA is just outside of Yosemite and provides a beautiful backdrop for your engagement session. Bass Lake is a 4.5 mile lake surrounded by beautiful pines. There are so many activities to do and I think the Pines resort is the best host for all those activities. During the winter months, most of the water activities are closed but you can still enjoy a variety of hikes, hotels and some other local spots. Elisa + Matt decided to stay near The Pines Resort. for their engagement session.
One thing I love about rainy days is how the crowds tend to stay home and allow us to enjoy your session free from distractions. (It also keeps my editing time down as I am not having to edit out people in the background.) The small amount of rain cleared the surrounding area, leaving us with a private spot for their photos.
When Elisa first called me and inquired about photography for their wedding day and engagement session. I remember her stating on the phone at least 5 times how much Matt hates taking photos. I always take it as a challenge when someone isn’t into photos. A challenge to make the session fun, ensure they are as comfortable and most importantly lots of laughs.
I definitely understood the assignment! (Cue Tiktok sound). Look how cute Matt + Elisa are. They are beaming in these photos.
Let’s book your engagement session where you two had your first date, where you two first said I love you or even at your home for a little at home date idea. Check out this couples session for an at home brunch session.

I specialize in inclusive wedding photography for all. I went from being engayged to being a Fresno Wedding Photographer when I couldn't find any photographers locally who held my same values.
Fueled by equal parts coffee and passion, I believe your story, your love, is beautiful and I can't wait to capture it in images you will treasure for years to come. I believe in real moments and genuine connection. In the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together.
And I can't wait to get to know you!
