Being a Yosemite Elopement Photographer you get to experience the most beautiful spots on earth with a couple who is experiencing one of the most memorable days of their life. It is indescribable the magic you feel. 

We started off the day at 2:30 in the morning to get ready and out the door by 3:30 to make it to Glacier Point before the sunrises. We thankfully stayed in a little town right outside Yosemite called Oakhurst. They have a few different older hotels such as the Yosemite Sierra Inn or the Yosemite Southgate Hotel, there are two new hotels that were just being built this last year and those are Fairfield Inn & Suites and the Holiday Inn and Suites. But Lindsey + Paige and I decided to go with a good ole Airbnb to stay the night. They had an amazing location with a fantastic deck with an incredible view of the scenery in Oakhurst. I ended up right next to the 41, well you win some and you lose some.  

Often visitors forget that maps will route you to the south gate of Yosemite, but that is not the exact spot we are meeting at. So always account for extra time to get to your final location. From the Southgate, it is about 45 minutes to get to the Glacier Point parking lot. 

Glacier Point is one of the most beautiful spots in Yosemite and incredibly accessible for all fitness levels which makes it the perfect spot to elope. There is a paved parking lot with plenty of spaces, paved paths for any assistive devices such as wheelchairs, and there are bathrooms. 

From the vista points to the edge of the trees it is an incredible sight and the perfect backdrop to elope in Yosemite, either by yourself or surrounded by family and friends. As a Yosemite Elopement Photographer I always recommend  sunrise Glacier Point as one of the most versatile options. 

Sunrise is so peaceful, it seems like the whole world is whispering around you. 

Right at 5:41 the sun broke above Glacier Point and poured out the most gorgeous glow of light.
