Historic Downtown Fresno Weddings | Elisa + Matt

Downtown Fresno Wedding Venue

When I first spoke with Elisa + Matt about their wedding dreams, she mentioned that she wanted a variety of locations in Downtown Fresno to highlight the history and architecture of  Fresno. After scouting several locations leading up to their wedding we found the perfect locations at a variety of Downtown Fresno Weddings Venues.

We started off the day at Fresno City College for their first look and wedding portraits. Unfortunately, the original areas we had planned to do the family formals and first look were locked on the weekend! (Note to all photographers, make sure to double-check on the same day of the week as you will be shooting in the future). However, I think the location we used was absolutely stunning. It was right in front of the library and gave such a classic and elegant look to their portraits. Look at these beautiful first look portraits! (Now I know what you’re going to say, Michelle… these are not Downtown Fresno Weddings. Yes, I know.. but it’s so close to downtown, I had to include them. If you didn’t know, Fresno City College was the first community college in California).

After their first look, they wanted a cleaner and more simple look as their background so we headed to this little hidden treasure that is a Downtown Fresno Weddings Venue. I loved the classic white columns of the building. It was an excellent contrast to the red brick from our first location. You wouldn’t think it, but there are some of the cutest Fresno Wedding Chapels here.

Our last stop was downtown Fresno at The Grand 1401. When you say historic Fresno, The Grand 1401 is one of the first places that comes to mind. We decided to make this a special spot for just Elisa + Matt to enjoy some portraits together. We also only spent about 3 minutes at this location. Although we were running around all over the place, we ended up with so many beautiful portraits. Some of my favorites from the day!
